LTCs

A few of the LTC's I've made.

Super Hero Day!

Good Morning

My dad gave me this wonderful Flip camera.  So I am going to get to know it.  The pictures taken today are from this camera.  So far it has been pretty easy.

 One of my friends made something similar, but I thought I would share how easy and fun making a super hero cape is.

I took one of David's old t-shirts.  For those of you who know him, know he does not toss out anything until it has no more use.  Being organized is very important!!

So I told him to find a t-shirt so I can cut it up.  Here it is.  A blue Conoco shirt from 2000.   Funny thing we have red and blue Conoco shirts.

I cut off the arms and the front.  Leaving the collar and back attached.

Then I cut at an angle from the point of the back of the shirt to the collar.

Happy Super Hero.

I will being going through some LTC soon.  Stay tuned.

  Proverbs 1:1-7  (NIV)
1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
  2 for gaining wisdom and instruction;
for understanding words of insight;
3 for receiving instruction in prudent behavior,
doing what is right and just and fair;
4 for giving prudence to those who are simple,
    knowledge and discretion to the young
5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance
6 for understanding proverbs and parables,
the sayings and riddles of the wise.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The Beginning

As February 2013 is soon approaching, I thought it was a good time to start a blog.  I have things to say.

During the past six months life has changed for my family in a huge way.  We have left a lifestyle (working and living with at risk youth) to just the three of us.  Many have helped us reach this place. We are in a very good place.

I thought I would start with a simple who I am.

I am Shawna, a sinner saved by Grace.

I am a Christian, mother, wife, daughter, sister, creater, crafter, thinker, letterboxer, friend, a fixer, observer, and I am imperfect.

There are many other hats I wear.  I am who I am.
